New single precedes singer’s upcoming album, This Is How Tomorrow Moves, out Aug. 16
Beabadoobee is giving fans a glimpse of a recent trip to Japan in her sweet new video for “Ever Seen.” On Monday, the musician released the track’s music video, the latest taste of her upcoming album.
On Instagram, the singer wrote that the video was her “favorite so far,” thanking the video director (and her boyfriend) Jake Erland for being “the most talented person I know.”
“Ty for filming me from ur perspective and ty for having eyes 👁👁 the highest iv ever been in,” she wrote. The video follows Beabadoobee singing along to the track while walking the streets of Japan, riding the metro, playing with silly cats, eating yummy snacks, and using a payphone.
The new track marks the second single since she released “Take a Bite” earlier this year. The singles precede her upcoming LP, This Is How Tomorrow Moves. Produced by Rick Rubin, the album arrives Aug. 16. On Instagram she teased there would be “one more [single] to go before the album.”
Beabadoobee will head on the road in the fall in support of the new album, stopping in cities such as New York, Toronto, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Denver, before heading to Europe.
“I guess it’s about becoming a woman,” she said about the record in a press release earlier this year. “I think I’m more aware of my actions in these songs. In my previous records, I would consistently sing about my reaction towards other people’s doings, like a blame game. But in this record, it’s accepting that there’s an inevitability of my fault in there, too.”
