UK Film & TV Bullying Reporting Body Unveils Board
The UK’s independent body for reporting bullying and sexual harassment in film and TV has unveiled its first board. The Creative Industries Independent Standards Authority (CIISA) is continuing to build out with British documentary producer Jane Preston, music industry lawyer, Dr. Kienda Hoji, Advertising Standards Authority CEO Guy Parker and Nazir Afzal, a former Chief Crown Prosecutor for NW England, taking their places on the board. CIISA has been in the offing for several years now and has been set up to take accounts of bullying and sexual harassment within an industry that has been plagued with these issues over the decades. Former BFI exec Jen Smith is running CIISA and Helena Kennedy was recently appointed its first chair. “We had a significant number of high calibre applicants for CIISA’s first Board roles, and we are delighted to welcome Kienda, Jane, Nazir and Guy who alongside Baroness Kennedy bring a wealth of skills, expertise and experience of regulation and the creative industries,” said Smith.
