Fortnite Reveals Marvel’s Doctor Doom, War Machine And More In Disney/Epic Games Collaboration

Fortnite Season 4 will bring Marvel characters like Gwenpool and Doctor Doom to the game, it was revealed last week at D23‘s Disney Experiences Showcase. Leaks about Doctor Doom’s return to the game were proven true, and a major battle and player choices are part of the upcoming season.

Marvel characters like War Machine and unique Fortnite characters, including Captain Jonesy are among those confirmed for Chapter 5 Season 4, with new items and weapons also available.

The next Fortnite season is called Absolute Doom, and its Marvel mix is merely the latest collaboration for Epic Games, which has featured content from video games, movies, TV shows, artists and musicians in prior Fotnite seasons.

The conclusion of Season 3’s live event in Fortnite saw Pandora’s Box being unearthed under Redline Rig. A new trailer confirmed Doctor Doom using the Redline Rig incident to essentially absorb the power from Pandora’s Box. The trailer showcases what appears to be a major battle involving such characters as Gwenpool, War Machine, Peelverine,
Emma Frost, Captain Jonesy, Mysterio, and Shuri.

Fortnite is also getting new items and weapons for players to check out during Season 4, including Dual Micro SMGs. The trailer also seemingly teases new abilities like Captain America’s Shield or War Machine’s Arsenal, and Gwenpool appears to be using Iron Man rocket gear.

The new season starts on August 16.

Epic is planning to add a special Battle Pass Quest in September, which will allow players to unlock a new version of Doctor Doom when it arrives.

The stream of Disney Horizons Live from D23 will be around until August 16, with the presentation on loop. To celebrate the announcements, all players who visit the island for 10 minutes will be granted the Peelverine Plush Back Bling plus XP at a later date in September.
